They Like It Hot: Velas Vallarta Offers Trip Through Mexico —

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico (April 15, 2015) - Guests at Velas Vallarta in Puerto Vallarta get a real taste of Mexico with a new "Signature Hot Sauce Tasting Experience." Adventurous palates experience a guided tasting of hot sauce from Jorge Sierra, executive chef, poolside at the oceanfront resort. Inclusive of explanations on which sauce pairs well with which foods, the tasting is also a "bite" of a Chili 101 with explanations also given about the heat quotient of the different chilies — eater beware! In addition, recipes are provided to recreate the delectable dishes at home. The first Hot Sauce Tasting Experience kicked off in late February, and included the sampling of Jalapeño Chile Hot Sauce with Guava and Peppermint, Habanero Chile Hot Sauce with Pineapple and Basil, and Dried Chipotle Chile Hot Sauce with Peanuts, among others. Four new hot sauce recipes will be presented each week. Included in the all-inclusive rate, the Signature Hot Sauce Tasting Experience is currently being held every Saturday at Velas Vallarta.
